You did an amazing thing. You created life and the magic in that time should be celebrated. That's why we are so excited to be able to offer you this opportunity to have a custom painting created to beautifully remember your powerful journey to motherhood.

Using a photograph of you taken during your pregnancy and the inspiration of your favorite flower Jahje Ives (the founder of Baby Jives Co) will create a beautiful hand painted artwork to commemorate your pregnancy,

Did you know that before Jahje made mobiles, she was actually an award winning painter showing in galleries all over the world? She never stopped painting but this is the first time in years that she’s offered. her original paintings.

All you need is a photo + flower that inspires you.  

We will take care of the rest.

THE DETAILS

Using your photo and your floral inspiration as a guide, Jahje will create a one of a kind watercolor and gouache portrait to celebrate your pregnancy journey.  

Your portrait will be painted on 300 gsm archival cotton watercolor paper and sized at your choice of  9x12 or 14x17 inch

The Journey in creating your Custom Artwork

• Once we receive your photos Jahje will create a silhouette and floral sketch to review with you to make sure the palette and style is agreed upon before starting the painting
  
• Once agreed upon (1 revision is included if needed) Jahje will start painting and custom paintings will take 3-4 weeks before they are ready to ship. 
• Artwork over 11x15" will be rolled.

Tips for a great reference photo:

• The portrait will focus on your belly, hands and show your silhouette as shown in examples.
• Is the photo showing your belly and hands as you would like them? Is there enough space for flowers to be painted inside?
• The photo provided should only be you but if there is anyone else they can be edited out. This also does not need to be a professional photo – you can take your own with an iphone.

Once the order is placed email the following to info @ babyjives.com

• please send an email with the photo of you during your pregnancy and a photo of the flower you would like Jahje to use as reference or you may choose one of the floral styles seen in the examples here - just tell us which color flower you liked
  
• For the email subject line put "Custom Mother Portrait, Order #_____"
  
• you will receive an email response within 72hrs from Jahje.

Would you like to order prints of your custom painting? One for your baby book,  one for your mother and mother in law, one for anyone else who would love to celebrate your journey. You can purchase additional prints here.

Paintings do not come with frames. To avoid fading please locate paintings away from direct sunlight and choose UV protective Plexiglas when framing if possible.
