Something great that has happened to me is that recently my one year-old son has been giving me unsolicited kisses and cuddles! It makes me such a happy mama :)

You ARE amazing!!! Best thing that happened to me recently….hmm. Getting to spend some time with my little guy and husband and have nothing else pressing to do. It made for the best weekend and we enjoyed every minute. That doesn’t happen very often, as my husband works nights and I am in grad school, so we are always running from the opposite direction :)
It’s hard to pick just one, they are all so lovely. The narwhal ones make me giggle especially, I love them so. However, I pinned a classic cloud with gold stars because I love it and when all my littles are grown and gone I will continue to hang it in my own bedroom :)

Can I make a little list of things that have happened lately that I’m super happy about? I just try to see the good in the little things when there is always so much negativity around.
I nominated my very best friend who is a beautiful, devoted mother and wife, for a contest to win a day at a local spa. My nomination came in third place and she ended up winning her choice of a massage or a specialty facial! It was awesome to see that others could understand what a wonderful woman she is based on the nomination that I wrote for her and I was happy that something small that I did ended up working out in her favor. It felt good to give!
The next thing that has happened recently that I find just absolutely great is that my baby’s father finally got to feel him kick and we are trying to pick a name! He mentioned one name, the first one out of his mouth, and I actually liked it! So it might not be such a tremendous task to agree on a name for our baby boy!
The third thing is that I scheduled an appointment for a 4d ultrasound and I get to see my little guy’s face in exactly a week from today, which is beyond exciting! :)

OH! And something great? My four-year-old stepson has officially stopped crying at pre-k drop-off! Makes my heart happy to hear him say “Wanna watch me not cry today?!”
